Give Confidence
Join us by making a monetary contribution. Donate your gently used, nearly-new professional attire. Offer your time as a volunteer to empower women in your community. With your support, we can continue providing services that inspire women to take charge of their lives.
Dress for Success Western Australia relies on the generosity of the community to deliver our life-changing services. We are powered by more than 100 volunteers, and directly employ just six part-time staff, totalling just 3 FTEs (full-time equivalent – so three people!).
We receive no recurrent government funding, and are incredibly grateful to those who choose to support us through donations of funds, clothing, time and talent.
Your donation has the power to transform the lives of vulnerable women in our community. Your gift will provide the clothing, tools and support needed to build our clients’ confidence, so that they’re able to begin their journey to meaningful employment and financial independence.
If you believe that every woman deserves her own success story, please make your donation today! All gifts over $2 are tax-deductible.
Your gift is an investment in the future, that will provide monumental benefits for our clients, their families, and our community.
Thank you for giving the gift of a new beginning.
Fundraising events and activities
Fundraising events held through businesses, schools, events, clubs or friends can make a huge difference to the lives of women in our community. We would be very grateful beneficiaries of your next event!
If you would like information on planning and promoting a fundraising event, please contact fundraising@dfswesternaustralia.org.
Empower Hour/International Women’s Day
Our Empower Hour appeal is run each March 8 for International Women’s Day (IWD), and asks supporters to donate one hour of their pay, to ‘pay it forward’ to a vulnerable woman in need of our services. We work with organisations, clubs and networks to bring together their communities to celebrate IWD, and can support your appeal with sponsorship opportunities, event speakers and clothing drive support. To register your interest for 2024, please contact fundraising@dfswesternaustralia.org.
Corporate partnerships and sponsorships
We’d love to speak to your organisation about a partnership that builds your reputation and supports the local community. Please see our corporate partnerships page for more information!

What would you wear to a job interview?
Your clothing donations will empower another woman with the confidence to enter or return to the workplace, help overcome bias and discrimination in the recruitment process, make a great first impression, and land a job that could change her life.
Many of our clients go straight from the boutique to an interview, so please ensure that all donations are clean, new or gently used, and suitable for a professional environment. Please be mindful of what items are appropriate for the current season. We accept all sizes, but currently have a particular need for clothing sized 18-30.
Also accepting high quality DESIGNER label clothing for resale at our Dress for Less fundraising clothing sales.
We have an amazing team of dedicated volunteers who sort the donations that we receive. Some items which are deemed not appropriate for work or are surplus to our needs at the time may be included in our regular fundraising fashion sales. These sales are held throughout the year to raise critical funds that keep us in operation.
We ask that you only select the BEST items from your wardrobe for our clients or Dress for Less fundraising clothing sales as we have limited sorting facilities.
Please ensure all your clothing donations are delivered in closed boxes, bags or on hangers that you are happy to donate.
Thank you for your support and generosity.
We ask for a $250 donation alongside clothing drives, to help us continue to provide our life-changing Styling and Career Program services. Please make the donation and register your clothing drive here. Once the donation has been made and the clothing drive registered, you’ll receive a clothing drive pack to help support a successful drive!
Hosting a donation drive amongst your workplace, club, school, or amongst friends is a great way to bring your community together and make an enormous difference to the lives and opportunities of vulnerable women.
Our client ’boutique’ is stocked with high-quality, pre-loved clothing donated by our generous community. Work appropriate clothing and styling empowers our clients with confidence, and helps them overcome bias and discrimination in the recruitment process.
Please contact us at info@dfswesternasutralia.org or call our office on 9382 1003 (Tuesday to Thursday) to find out more about what items are currently needed, or if you need more information to help you plan and promote your clothing drive.
We accept donations at our office at 96 Hay Street Subiaco every Tuesday between 9am and 4pm, and on the first Saturday of every 2nd month in 2024 (3 Feb, 6 April, 3 Aug, 5 Oct, 7 Dec) between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
