WHO CAN ACCESS OUR FREE CAREER PROGRAM SUPPORT SERVICES?

ANY woman looking to re-enter the workforce; or build skills, knowledge and rediscover confidence to achieve their employment or study goals. 

  Our group workshops and one-to-one advice sessions are FREE for all women, trans women, and non-binary people comfortable in women’s spaces.

Workforce Australia participant’s can earn 15 points per activity with Dress for Success.  Approved activities include our Styling appointments, Career Advice appointments and Workshops.

The free group workshops are held online via Microsoft Teams or in person at our Subiaco office.  Details on how to join will be sent when booking.

FREE INDIVIDUAL CAREER SUPPORT APPOINTMENTS

 

RESUME AND COVER LETTERS:  We can support you to review and develop a resume, write a cover letter or put together a job application 

INTERVIEW PREPARATION:  We can also support you to prepare for your upcoming interview, providing sample questions and mock interviews

CAREER ADVICE CONVERSATION:  Not sure where to start or re-start? You can book a time to discuss next steps and possibilities, how to present your skills, build your networks and job search strategies 

 

The one-to-one advice and feedback sessions run between 30 – 60 minutes and the session is supportive and tailored to you.

We offer further scheduled sessions with recruitment and HR professionals, and Dress for Success career volunteers each month. 

Individual Job Application and Career Advice – In Person at our Subiaco office

Ask for any advice on any job readiness area you need – general resume, interviews, job search, career options.   Once booked, please send your current resume ahead of the appointment to help the Consultant prepare for the session.  This is a great opportunity to ask any questions or get feedback on specific areas of interest.

Need a refresher on how to present well at an interview?  Prepare to tackle your next interview and present with confidence. This workshop offers great tools and techniques to help conquer your nerves.  Nadia, Dress for Success Career Volunteer and experienced employer and interviewer, will go over tricky questions you have been asked in the past and coach you on ways to move forward.

Stress Less and Achieve More – Mindfulness Skills

The many challenges that we face every day can leave us feeling uncertain, stressed, inadequate, confused, isolated, exhausted, overwhelmed … to name a few.  However, it is possible to improve decision making, gain clarity to focus on the essential goals and become motivated, confident, optimistic and happier.  Vida Carlino, Inspiration Source, will teach you simple mindfulness practices that work to calm the mind, we reduce stress, anxiety and negative thoughts.

Qualified Dress for Success Western Australia Stylists run this popular workshop, designed to give you some tools to help you build your own work capsule wardrobe whether in the workplace or working from home.   The Stylists will go through what items you need to start your work capsule wardrobe and you will learn some handy tips and tricks along the way.
